Note: This is not a review of the movie, but review of my experience of watching it!
Okay, I took a “prann” of watching Transformers 2 on the big screen long time back 😛 (Haven’t seen any movie on the big screen for about a couple of hundred years now!). So I HAD to watch this today, because thanks to growing old, and going to office, I have no spare time left during rest of the week.
Anyways, Finally the plans were made. And the 2 of us reached Movie Time, Pitampura at 9:50 am for the 10:00 am show. As usual, it was not that simple, and things had to go wrong, As Usual! The person at the counter informs me that the only show is in “Hindi” contrary to the posters outside. x-( Now, no way I was going to watch Transformers in hindi. It would be like Megan Fox screaming ” Main kutto ke saamne nahi naachungi” or Optimus Prime grunting ” Megatron, Tera samay aa gaya hai” Also watching “kambakht ishq” as a compromise was NOT an option!. So thinking of the alternatives, There is a show at 10:10 am, but at Waves Cinema, Rajouri Garden. We had barely 15 Minutes to reach there. But nothing to lose. So we rushed off towards rajouri.
10:15 am
Waves, Rajouri.
Somehow managed the tickets with “just” a few minutes of the Movie over. Till we reached the theatre, close to 10 precious minutes of the movie had been lost 😦 . Didn’t care about the seats during buying the tickets so we were sold a lemon.(Not very bad seats, but could have been better :P) Okay, I’ll stop cribbing now.
Coming to my review of the film. The movie stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and a whole lotta CG. The story picks up where the last one ended, with the Autobots acting as guardians of Earth, working in harmony with the US Army (who else, Aliens only attact the US :P) and defending the planet against the evil Decepticons. It s a plain and simple plot, which has been stretched to a rather lengthy two and half hours of repetitive camera work, unwanted drama and predictable plot-twists, only saving grace, who else 😉 . Shia LaBeouf acts like a dude-in-distress 😛 , while Megan Fox prances around the screen, looking better with every passing frame.
This movie does have a ton of issues but it also has Optimus Prime beating the hell out of the Decepticons, which looks really really cool. The C.G. is better than of last time, with longer action sequences and more explosions. But with all the transforming robots fighting at the same time. The fast paced action does become quiet overwhelming. Overall the movie does boast of some really impressive action sequences especially towards the end with a visually stunning climax. Also the backdrop of the climax are the Pyramids of Giza, Egypt. One of the places I just would LOVE to visit someday :P.
The movie offers loads of entertainment; huge explosions and a really good to look at Megan Fox (I can’t stress enough how good she was looking. :P), while compromising on a decent plot.

My Rating : 4/5 (doesn’t matter much, but for the sake of this review!)

All in all this is was a movie definately worth seeing on the big screen. So a contented me left the theatre today! 😛
After this, we decided to do some “paet pooja”, so we went to this roadside “Amritsari Naam” stall at paschim Vihar. Apperently this roadside stall has its customers visiting in swanky cars/Mercs! Anyways, after having 2 naans (Which totally spoils my plans of losing some pounds{atleast for today} :P) we head back!
Anecdote/P.S.
While looking for pics for this post, I came across this fan site of Megan Fox. In the comment box of one of the pics of Megan.
xyz: ooooo… you are sexy as shit.
abc: shit is not sexy.

ROFL Moment!
